MATTHEW CONNELL, Certified Public Accountant

Matthew started his career with Ernst & Young, LLP in 2003 as a member of its Assurance and Advisory Service group after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In 2006, Matt became a founder of Imperial Tax & Accounting, Inc., where he focuses on income tax planning for individuals and small to medium sized businesses.

His experience ranges across numerous industries such as oil and gas, professional services, manufacturing, non-profit, real estate, and retail. In addition, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Tax Professionals.

Matt focuses on relationships and creating value for his clients. Understanding the importance of this credit to small businesses dealing with the economic impacts of COVID led him to create Third Avenue Business Advisors. His goal is to help as many businesses as possible with his expertise.

MICHELLE IVILL, Certified Public Accountant

Michelle started her career with Ernst & Young, LLP in 2004 as a member of its Assurance and Advisory Service group after graduating from the University of Notre Dame.

In 2009, she joined her family's conglomerate of businesses, which included commercial real estate, construction, janitorial services, and event hospitality. She continues to serve as President of Vale Vista Associates, LP, a commercial real estate investment company in southwestern Pennsylvania. In 2016, Michelle formed Mendicino Management, LLC to provide consulting and temporary CFO services to small and medium size businesses.

Michelle has a passion for helping small businesses succeed. Forming Third Avenue Business Advisors was an important opportunity for her to help businesses rebound, and she has helped clients claim millions of dollars in refunds.
